About Dancing Bear

Dancing Bear has been in the rock, mineral, and fossil business for over thirty years. He and his former partner created a major distribution company that wholesaled rocks, minerals, and fossils to retail stores all over the world. After selling that business and retiring, he began selling a few educational kits on eBay as a hobby. The response was so great that by 2012, this little “hobby” had evolved into a whole new company. Dancing Bear’s Rocks and Minerals was born.

With a background in early childhood education, Dancing Bear has always been interested in young children and education. He’s had classroom experience with pre-school through third-graders and loves watching young eyes light up as, for example, when his lively hand puppets introduce youngsters to the wonders of nature.
